Adventures on day 4!!

It was great to start the day with a nice hot breakfast, this gave us the energy we needed to head off to the Dragon boat race.

Once we aIMG_4445rrived at the sailing centre, we got ourselves into two teams and started our warm up prep, so we were ready to take on the other groups there!

Finally we were ready to hit the water and we won one of the races!!  How proud we were, we did it!! and we had never been dragon boat racing before!

With our energy low it was time to head to lunch to refuel and be ready for our sensory trail, a chance to learn to trust ourselves and our friends as we guided ourselves around the course before heading off to descend 89 steps and relax on the beach.  IMG_4458

Then we headed to dinner and enjoyed the evening singing songs, toasting marshmallows and receiving certificates from the Freemasonry in the Province of East Kent who have so kindly funded this residential.  Thank you so much for providing the opportunity for these young people to have such an amazing time with many new experiences and lots of fun!Image result for Freemasonry in the Province of East Kent

Thank you also to the Maidstone Lions who funded the coach so we could transport 25 young people and 5 staff to the venue!Image result for maidstone lions image

With mixed emotions we look forward to tomorrow, excited by the fun of the last activities, sadness of having to go home and gratefulness to the Freemasons for providing us with this amazing experience.

" I loved leaning how to row and have a race"

" I loved having to work out how to go around the sensory trail without being able to see, it was real challenging and fun"
