Kingswood | We Need Sleep – Heading Home :(

bus homeIt was time to head home, after a spot of lunch on Sunday afternoon.  The weekend has been full on with a total of 12 activity sessions over just 2 days!!

Mixed emotions from many with comments like "I do and I don't want to go home.  I would love to stay here and try more stuff but ...I have missed my bed and my dog!"

YLF would like to thank all the year 7 pupils at NLL for taking on so many challenges whilst away with us.  We think that your teamwork, bravery and courage has shone through.  We have been so impressed with the way you have conducted yourselves, encouraged each other and for how as a team (a very BIG team) you work together so well.  It was a real privilege and a pleasure to share the weekend with you! Thank you!

YLF's CEO, Stephen commented, "I was so pleased to be welcomed by everyone at NLL.  The staff and pupils were excellent and really showed how, as a school, you respect each other, encourage each other, listen to what everyone has to say and get stuck in..even when that is scary!  I guess the number of accident forms we filled in is one way to show - you guys don't give up!"

Team 11

"This weekend's group were so welcoming and it was great getting to know you all!  Thank you to everyone involved and thank you also to Team 11 for letting me share in this weekend with you!"

Head of year 7, Miss Kent, states, "It has been a wonderful weekend away.  I have been so impressed with how much the pupils have learnt about working together.  There have been new friendships formed, memories that will last for years to come, too many personal achievements to count (including being away from home for the 1st time) and a really good time has been had by everyone."

The last word comes from Josh who said, "It has been a really good year at school in year 7, better than I expected.  But this weekend tops it all off - an epic way to finish the year."
