YLF has recently appointed our very own, Participation Apprentice!
Karleigh began her new role on Monday and will work full time with YLF to support the Children in Care Council and the numerous young people we work with.
In her role as Participation Apprentice, Karleigh will help young people to take part and contribute in services provided by YLF, making sure the voices of children and young people are heard and respected across all departments. Karleigh, a YLF service user herself, will also complete an NVQ Level 2 during the year.
Karleigh says, “I am extremely excited about the upcoming year! I will be helping young children to make all the possible experiences at YLF the best, and find out how we could improve on our services and events.
I look forward to building new working relationships and bonding with the young people to help them with anything I possibly can.”
We are super impressed with how well Karleigh is already fitting in with YLF and very pleased to be able to support another young person to achieve not only a qualification but also many new skills to assist her future. We look forward to some exciting changes the year will bring!
