Social Workers Schooled Once More!

Our Children in Care Council (CiCC) member attended The University of Kent to train MA Students one last time before they graduate.

Paddy, our CiCC Apprentice, and Stephen Gray, YLF CEO led a presentation to the group of students that included a discussion about the CiCC's 'Top Ten Professional Qualities' poster, and their feature film about 'Stigma'. The students were also very keen to hear some of Paddy's experiences as a child in care.

At the end of the session a huge round of applause was received and one student commented, “That was such a powerful and touching film that really gets the point across - well done”.

The CiCC have enjoyed having an input at The University of Kent and hope that the students will find their training valuable in their future role as a Social Worker.
