Reggae Legend Pato Banton Brings the Party to Maidstone!

Kicking off Maidstone River Festival in Reggae Style!

On Thursday 23rd July, music lovers gathered at Drakes Cork & Cask for an unforgettable evening as internationally renowned reggae artist Pato Banton took to the stage to launch the Maidstone River Festival in style.

From the moment Pato stepped on stage, the atmosphere was electric. The venue was packed with people of all ages, and it wasn’t long before the crowd were up on their feet, singing along, dancing, and soaking up the incredible reggae vibes. The energy throughout the night was infectious, creating a fantastic sense of community and celebration.

As well as providing an incredible evening of live music, the event also raised vital funds for The Young Lives Foundation, with a fantastic total of just under £2,500 raised on the night. Every penny will help us continue supporting vulnerable children, young people and families across Kent through our wide range of services.

Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the evening such a success. We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to Pato Banton for delivering such an outstanding performance, and to Drakes Cork & Cask for hosting the event and helping create such a welcoming atmosphere.

It was a brilliant way to kick off this year’s Maidstone River Festival celebrations, proving once again how live music can bring communities together while making a real difference!

To everyone who came along, danced the night away, and supported YLF, thank you. We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did!
