Volunteers Celebration 2025
Celebrating our incredible volunteers as part of National Volunteers Week
Celebrating our incredible volunteers as part of National Volunteers Week
As part of National Volunteers Week, YLF proudly celebrated the outstanding dedication of the volunteers, mentors, fundraisers, and supporters who help make our work with young people possible.
Each year, this week offers a moment to pause and recognise those who give so generously of their time, energy, and hearts—and this year was no exception.
Our volunteers make an extraordinary impact:
9,778+ volunteer hours delivered across our services
1,842+ young people supported through our advocacy and youth programmes
We are incredibly thankful to every single person who supports YLF. Your contribution changes lives!
On Friday 30th May, we started our celebrations early by bringing everyone together for a very special evening at the beautiful North Barn, Aylesford Friars. With live music, games, and delicious BBQ food, we honoured the people who make YLF thrive.
Young band, Alienz, from Valley Park School, wowed us all with vibrant pop anthems, and local soloist, Lewis George, captivated our guests with his powerful vocals that had the crowd singing along.
We were deeply proud to honour some of our longest-serving volunteers who have given not just their time, but their hearts, to YLF over the past 10 years. With hundreds of hours dedicated to supporting young people, Rochelle, Denise, Matt, Sue, Rob, Bev, Jacques, and Haley truly embody what it means to be part of the YLF family and we are so grateful for everything they’ve done.
We were also thrilled to welcome some of our incredible fundraisers to the celebration, including members of the Rotary Clubs, who chose YLF as their charity for their recent Gala Dinner, and the amazing Pluckley to Paris Cyclists, whose dedication and determination raised over £53,000! More about their story here…
To everyone who joined us, supported us, and continues to champion YLF—thank you.
“YLF simply wouldn’t exist without the incredible support of the people we’re celebrating tonight. Whether it’s giving their time, supporting young people, taking on fundraising challenges, or making vital donations, their efforts are what keep our work alive – and more importantly, help young people thrive. We are deeply grateful to each and every one of you.”
— Stephen Gray, CEO
We hope all of our supporters left the evening feeling as valued as they truly are.
