Team YLF Takes on Inflatable 5K
All in support of YLF's young people!
On Saturday 16 May, Team YLF headed to Brands Hatch to take on the Inflatable 5K – and what a day it was!
From giant slides and obstacle climbs to plenty of bouncing, laughter and slightly questionable landings, our runners threw themselves into the challenge to raise money in support of Young Lives Foundation.
We were incredibly proud to have such an amazing group of supporters taking part across the 2.5K, 5K, 10K and 15K courses. Throughout the day, the atmosphere was brilliant, with runners encouraging one another, spectators cheering from the sidelines and plenty of smiles (and tired legs!) at the finish line.
Alongside the event, the YLF team hosted a stall in the Event Village where we had the opportunity to meet runners, supporters and members of the public, while sharing more about the work we do to support local children, young people and families.
A huge thank you goes to our business supporter, Mor-tech, for sponsoring our team shirts (don’t they look great!) and to every single person who signed up, fundraised, donated, volunteered or came along to support Team YLF on the day. Every pound raised will help us continue delivering vital support and opportunities to young people across our community.
We’d also like to thank UK Running Events for organising such a fun and memorable event although we may all need a few days to recover from the giant inflatable slides!
