Kent Therapeutic Alliance Mentoring

In partnership with Salus

YLF is part of the Kent Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Therapeutic Alliance (KTA), commissioned by NHS Kent and Medway.

Working in partnership with Salus, the alliance brings together organisations across Kent to ensure children and young people can access the support they need to improve their emotional wellbeing.

The Support YLF Provides

Our mentoring programmes offer young people the opportunity to connect with a trained volunteer mentor who provides encouragement, time and support.

Mentoring can include:

  • One-to-one mentoring with a trusted adult role model
  • Small peer wellbeing groups led by staff and volunteers
  • Support delivered in schools, community settings and outdoor environments
  • Activities and conversations that help young people explore their strengths and build confidence

Our support is non-clinical and focuses on building positive relationships that help young people feel heard, valued and supported.
