Jubilee Celebrations

The MCYPC celebrated The Queen's Jubilee true party style...

We have been partying in the sun to celebrate 70 years for the Queen’s Jubilee!

For the special occasion the group wore red, white and blue outfits to represent the colours of the British Union Jack flag.  It was so good coming together as a unit to celebrate, to learn, to get our groove on and most of all have fun!

Did you know, The Queen technically owns all the sturgeons, whales, and dolphins in the waters around England and Wales? This is a rule that dates back to a statute from 1324, during the reign of King Edward II. And this was one of the many facts we learned… to test our general knowledge we had a quiz, and also in true party style, we played music and party games too!

“I loved the music and dancing – and the party food was the best.”

“This is really fun – we should have celebration parties more often!”

The party was a very positive mood-boosting activity and a confidence builder for the young people – it especially boosted their endorphins from all that dancing!

Thank you to our volunteers who brought food,  decorations and joined in on our celebrations.

“It was amazing – all the young people got along and celebrated.”

Without your donations we couldn’t have put this on. The young people loved it and couldn’t be more grateful – and maybe next time you can become a volunteer and party with us!
