A Sizzling Summer Send-Off: Medway’s End of Summer BBQ 2024!
On Thursday 29th August, the Medway Council and Young Lives Foundation teamed up to throw the ultimate end-of-summer BBQ, and it was nothing short of amazing!
This annual event brought together care experienced children and young people, care leavers, foster carers, and their social and support workers for an afternoon full of good vibes, great food, and awesome memories.
Whether you were there to enjoy some good food, try your hand at a few games, or just chill with friends and family, there was something for everyone.
One of the highlights? The food! We had a deliciously diverse spread, including some mouth-watering African cuisine that was a total hit with everyone. It was the perfect way to mix up the usual BBQ fare and try something new and flavorful.
But it wasn’t just about the food—there were loads of games and activities that got everyone involved. From friendly competitions to just having fun in the sun, the energy was high, and there were smiles everywhere.
The best part? The amazing turnout. So many families supported through Medway Council came together, making the day even more special. It was all about connection, celebration, and having a blast as a community.
