The YLF offices became a grotto throughout December in order to bring some magic and Christmas cheer to those we support...
Throughout December the YLF offices transformed into a grotto which was taken over by Santa and his YLF elves for sorting, wrapping and delivering gifts out to young people across the County!
December has been a very busy month at YLF HQ with over 905 gifts and hampers coming into our grotto, being wrapped, sorted and delivered out to vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people across Kent and Medway.
Thanks to wonderful donations of food, tinned goodies, monetary donations, supplies and wrapped gifts, over 90 Care Leavers in Kent and Medway have been gifted with a hamper to gear them up for Christmas! Teams of elves took over the YLF Grotto, setting up a conveyor belt system to prepare the hampers with personal and food goodies before wrapping them and topping them with a bow!
The hampers were loaded onto Santa’s sleigh before being delivered out by our very own YLF team of reindeer to Care Leavers across Kent and Medway!
One Care Leaver said “This is AMAZING! Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who have made this for me. I can’t wait to dig in!”

and all other fantastic donors who have made this a reality. Because of you Care Leavers across the County will be safe and warm this Christmas.
For many, Christmas morning consists of unwrapping a stack of presents under the Christmas Tree, but for some children across Kent this is not the case. In fact, some may not receive many gifts at all. This year we are proud to announce that with thanks to many generous donations, we have delivered over 815 presents across the county to children and young people in need! 🎁🦌✨
We welcomed some fantastic elves from far and wide into YLF HQ, who, supervised by Santa Claus, set to work sorting and wrapping all 815 gifts ready for delivery! With Christmas tunes blaring and mince pies and chocolates being nibbled anyone could have mistaken the offices for Santa’s HQ!

75 young people across the County have been celebrating Christmas at our YLF Christmas parties! Thanks to our Positive Activities team they even had a surprise visit from Santa Claus himself!
Disco music, presents and festive food were all on offer for our young people at their YLF Christmas parties this year. Santa Claus even took 5 minutes out of his hectic schedule to surprise the young people with gifts kindly donated!
We were also delighted to welcome the Masonic Charitable Foundation to our Sittingbourne group party who are funding the group for the next 3 years! They officially presented the cheque to our young people who were delighted! Thank you!
