Our Care Leavers' Camping Trip...
A wonderful getaway...
Our recent camping trip was a wonderful getaway for our care leavers. We started with a scenic walk and watched a stunning sunset, setting the tone for a relaxed evening.
Feeling hungry, a few of our care leavers showcased their cooking skills by preparing a delicious BBQ meal, which we all enjoyed while listening to music from different cultures. After dinner, we lit up the night with glowsticks, dancing and exploring in the dark, creating a magical atmosphere.
The highlight of the night was using night vision binoculars to spot foxes and rabbits. It was an incredible experience for many, especially those new to camping. Later, we settled into our tents, laughing about the bugs that joined us!
We’re grateful to Countrystyle for letting us use their field, making this adventure possible. The young people loved the experience and hope to return in the future. It was more than just a trip—it was a chance to connect, unwind, and create lasting memories.
