Highlights from our latest Football Match!
Medway’s care experienced young people took on their social workers and other children’s services professionals in our annual football match at Strood Academy—and what a match it was!
The atmosphere was electric, with one attendee calling it an “amazing Football event” and sharing how heartwarming it was to see so many happy children and young people enjoying themselves.
The care leavers drew 7-7, then clinched victory in a nail-biting penalty shootout. Our younger team? They were unstoppable—so much so, we lost count of their goals!
Events like these are more than just games; they’re powerful moments of connection, bringing together care experienced young people to share, laugh, and build bonds.
A huge shoutout to Medway Council Corporate Parents for turning up in full force, and to everyone who played, supported, and made this event one for the books!
