A New Apprentice!
We would like to introduce our newly appointed young Apprentice, Sophie!
We would like to introduce our newly appointed young Apprentice, Sophie!
YLF is delighted to welcome Sophie, who joins our team as the Participation Apprentice.
Sophie is passionate about making the experiences of being in care better for children and young people and has lots of ideas around how she can engage with young people and professionals to make sure this happens. She will be working alongside the MCYPC (Medway Children and Young People Council – formally the Children in Care Council) and representing the numerous young people we work with.
During her apprenticeship placement, Sophie will complete an NVQ Level 2 and will also be helping young people to take part and contribute in services provided by YLF, making sure the voices of children and young people are heard and respected across all departments.

Sophie will be working closely with Robbie, our new Participation and Engagement Coordinator, in ensuring young people are engaged and active as part of the MCYPC and YLF.

We are excited for what this year has to bring and the achievements that will be made!
