An Egg-cellent Easter!

Easter brings Egg-stra smiles and good times to our young people...

Over 1,500 Chocolate Eggs Donated to Disadvantaged Young People!

This Easter, YLF brought joy and chocolate cheer to hundreds of disadvantaged children and families across the county, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of local businesses and community partners. In total, over 1,500 Easter eggs were donated, making this one of the charity’s most egg-citing seasonal campaigns yet.

YLF worked tirelessly to collect the donated eggs and ensure they were delivered to children who might otherwise have gone without a treat this Easter. With the support of local volunteers, the eggs were delivered not only to all young people currently receiving support from YLF, but also to community hubs and services supporting families across the whole county, bringing big smiles and a little extra sweetness!

With thanks to all of our staff and volunteers who distributed eggs to our young people and groups across our services in Advocacy Programmes and Youth Programmes. Some other groups we supported include:

Thanet Family Hubs – Thanet Community Forest School – Cliffsend Youth Club – Canterbury Early Help – St Francis Parish Strood – Youth Services Tovil – Kent Leaving Care Team – Dartford Youth Hub

A HUGE thank you to those who donated Easter eggs, including:

Charity Aid Foundation – Kent Reliance – Village Hotel Maidstone – Oak on the Green – Rochester Gate – KKB Group – CC Cousins – DS Smith – Tesco Aylesford – CMDP – W Naylar & Sons Funeral Directors – Maidstone River Park Run

Half Term Activities & Trips

The fun didn’t stop there… YLF also organised a range of half-term activities and trips, giving children the chance to enjoy new experiences, make memories, and most importantly—just be kids. From creative workshops and outdoor adventures to day trips and group games, the charity made sure no child was left out this Easter.

Our Gravesham Legends had an epic time at Ninja Warrior Chatham with loads of laughs, big energy, and some quality attempts at the obstacle courses – including a few dramatic fails on the warped wall (by the adults!!). And our Swale Legends made moulded chocolates, Easter gifts and enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt!

“This incredible donation shows what can happen when a community comes together. Thanks to the kindness of our supporters, we were able to bring not just chocolate eggs, but real moments of joy and belonging to the young people we support.” Amy, YLF Fundraising Coordinator

The charity extends heartfelt thanks to all who contributed, from small independent businesses to national chains.

See how you can contribute to the continued support YLF needs to help build brighter futures for vulnerable young lives….
