Dreamland Delights
On Tuesday, 13 young people made their way down to Margate to visit the newly reopened Dreamland!
Spirits were high, the sun was shining and we were all excited to see the traditional park.
First up was the hurricane jets; a fast and fun ride where you're the pilot and get to control the jet. The smiles on everyone’s faces showed how much fun they were having...
On to the next ride. This was a little more adventurous - The Top Spin; spinning you around and turning you upside down in circles - this was not for the faint hearted!
"Wow, that was amazing!! I'm still spinning!"
After a dizzy and confusing walk through the mirror maze it was time for lunch. Burgers, hot dogs, noodles and ice creams were all on offer, even seafood! It was hard to choose between all the delicious looking stalls.
After lunch the group headed to a traditional merry go round, followed by Born Slippy- a 65 metre tall slide seeing everyone shoot down to the bottom at top speeds!
Everyone enjoyed a peaceful ride on the big wheel, soaking up the sun and getting a fantastic view of Margate beach and town - even if it was a bit windy at the top!
"The big wheel was sooo high and had really good views!"
The vintage themed park proved a big hit with everyone, with fun rides, delicious food, retro stalls and great weather; everyone had a fantastic day! Before we knew it, it was time to leave and everyone piled back onto the minibus to head back home, waving goodbye to sunny Margate.
