Giving Tree Appeal

Our Christmas Giving Trees - Bringing Joy to Hundreds of Families!

This year’s Christmas Giving Trees have been a heartwarming success, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and the unwavering support of local businesses and organisations who hosted Christmas Giving Trees adorned with hope.

These beautifully decorated trees served as collection points for gifts, with individuals leaving presents to brighten the festive period for disadvantaged children and their families. The response has been nothing short of extraordinary, with hundreds of thoughtful, carefully chosen gifts donated.

Thank you to our Giving Tree partners:

Bluewater’s Giving Tree – Albany Funerals – Notcutts Maidstone – Oak on The Green – Southern Gas Networks – Amtivo – Maureen Roche

For disadvantaged families, the Christmas season can be a financially challenging time and many may struggle to afford even the simplest of gifts, which can leave children feeling forgotten during what should be a magical season.

We are grateful to Morrisons, Larkfield who donated gift paper and bows, and to our volunteer ‘Elves’ who spent time at YLF HQ wrapping and tying ribbons:

The KCC Civic Office – UK Power Networks Services – The Bacon Butty Brigade

Through this appeal, we’ve ensured that these children wake up to a joyful Christmas morning. Each present represents hope and the reassurance that no one is alone, reminding them they are cherished and cared for by their community.

“The generosity we’ve witnessed this year has been overwhelming. It has made this festive season brighter and more meaningful with over 2000 gifts handed out!

An extra special thank you goes to Oak on the Green who not only had a Giving Tree but also donated £300 raised from their charity Quiz Night! Children who may have otherwise gone without now have gifts to open and memories to cherish.”

Amy, YLF Fundraising Coordinator.

>> Some of the wonderful gifts have already made their way to our young people at youth groups…

As we reflect on the success of this appeal, we are reminded of the power of collective compassion. Together, our partners, supporters, and the whole community have proven that even small acts of kindness can create a big difference.

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed to the Christmas Tree Giving Appeal. Wishing you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas time!
