The Patron’s Lunch
YLF was privileged to be invited to
The Patron's Lunch on Sunday 12 June
CEO, Stephen Gray, braved the rain to join the invited guests on The Mall to celebrate The Queen’s patronage of over 600 charities and organisations - and not forgetting, to also mark the occasion of Her Majesty's 90th birthday!
In the afternoon, Her Majesty The Queen was joined by the Royal Family to greet the crowd of over 10,000 guests who filled The Mall on this truly unique occasion. The sun finally came out and it was a really good opportunity for YLF to meet with hundreds of other charities from across the country.
Stephen said, "Despite the rain, the atmosphere was great. It was a real privilege to be there and to be so close to the Royal Family as they passed through the crowd! I spoke with several others from charities both national and local, and it was good to share stories of the wonderful work we all do to make a difference to others - the very reason why we were all invited."
YLF was grateful to be invited to be part of The Patron's Lunch by The Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, as YLF was one of the few charities in the county to receive The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2015.
