Feb Half Term | Lazer Crazy!
Our Challengers youth group and Children in Care Council (CiCC) head to Laser Rush in Whitstable!
A group of 22 young people came together on Tuesday for a fun-filled afternoon of lazer tag. Whilst enjoying the games, there was also the chance to learn more about the CiCC, how it works and how to become a member.
It was great to have 5 new recruits with us - 1 young person came all the way from Crawley - and they were warmly welcomed to the group... The others enjoyed seeing eachother again to have a good catch up! “It's so good having the chance to catch up with people I haven’t seen in ages.” Terry
And so the games begun.. The aim of the first game was to individually get the highest score, who was to do it? ....Matthew!! He said, “I am really happy with that, I didn't think I would ever be the one to get the highest score - I was just aiming at everyone!” Everybody cheered for Matthew!
Over lunch, there was a chance to chat about the CiCC and some current members took the time to talk and show others what they get up to. “It was great to see so many young people interested in the CiCC and to be aware that they can have their say.” Lucy Positive Activities Coordinator.
The group split into Red or Green team to compete against each other for the last two games, who was going to win this time? ...The Greens took the glory for the first game, winning with a score of over 400! And the Reds were the almighty winners with over 900 points in the final game! But what a competition it was! "I've had so much fun - it's been amazing!" Tavaius
"It's good that we will have some new people come along to CiCC and share their thoughts and maybe new ideas - that's what its all about." Tiff
