Fundraiser | London Marathon

"Another busy week of stomping around Maidstone in the dark!
Monday was a 5k (3 mile) Sweatshop Running Club night, Wednesday night I ran up Bluebell Hill from the Malta Inn for 5 miles of hill work, Friday was a 10k (6 mile) Sweatshop night, Saturday morning was a 5k (3 mile) parkrun event (free running club for all, starts 9am from Museum of Kent Life), and then Sunday was the big one - the weekly long run. We started at 6.45am in the pitch dark, and ran 17 miles - giving a grand total of 34 miles for the week!
I'm slowly shaking off my calf injury which is a relief, and feeling stronger every week. Next weekend I'm running in the Deal Half Marathon, at which I'm hoping to do a good time (my PB is 1 hr 49 - not bad for someone in their very late 20's! ...)
On Friday I had a cheeky KFC, so as penance, whenever I let myself down and commit such a sin, I wear my KFC running top at parkrun and face the shame (see pic).
I've actually put on weight since I started the marathon training plan, so this is probably my last KFC before the London Marathon - no promises though ;-)
30 miles scheduled this week, including Sunday's race. Enjoy your week too everyone!"
