YLF’s Sizzling Summer BBQ

The sun shone brightly for YLF at our Annual Fun Day and BBQ on Sunday. This was our biggest year ever, with over 85 children and volunteers joining the fun and showing their skills on our Gladiator jousting, inflatable assault course, circus skills (including a unicycle) face (and body) painting, football, rounders and tennis to name just a few of the things we got up to.

Given the glorious sunshine the swimming pool was well used by all (and even those that didn't get right in had no choice but to get wet!)

A really big ‘thank you’ going out, of course, to our chairman Clive and his wife Sue for allowing us to use their beautiful garden and facilities for another year, Darren for all his hard work, our BBQ chefs and for all who contributed on the day making this such a successful event yet again.

Thanks also to our wonderful team of volunteer befrienders and mentors for bringing the young people and for the tremendous work you do all year round!

A massive shout out to George, our ice cream man – he was by far the busiest man on the day….we got through over 250 ice-creams!!!
