Leaving a gift in your Will could support the future of our young people. If you do not have a Will, your solicitor can help you write one, or you can approach The Goodwill Partnership whom we are assigned to. Take a look at our Gifts In Wills page for more information.
A Will is an incredibly personal thing, you do not need to contact us about it however if you wish to discuss Legacy Giving, please contact us, we would always be happy to help.
Asking for donations instead of gifts on special occasions such as birthdays or weddings is an inspiring way for family and friends to mark your special occasion and raise funds for our work. If you are familiar, this can be easily done via Facebook, otherwise you can set up an online donation page.
Families may also choose to hold a collection at a funeral or receive donations in lieu of flowers. Your funeral director can help you organise this. We are always happy to help if you wish to contact us.
Over £2,000 is generated every year through venues placing static collection tins. If you are able to place a collection box for us in a store, club, office, or would simply like one at home, we will be pleased to help.
We can provide you with collection tins and support you with the necessary permissions. Contact us today.
Giving through your salary means that your donation will go much further. You can donate whatever you can afford, from as little as £1 a month or more. The donation is taken from your gross pay before tax is deducted, so it costs you less and is tax-free. HM Revenue & Customs then gives us that tax that they would have received from your pay.
Simply speak to your HR or Payroll department who will be able to tell you if your employer has a payroll giving scheme.
Look out for our campaigns during seasonal periods. Many young people who we support would not normally receive many gifts, so a donated gift can make a huge difference and let young people know they are thought of.
YLF regularly hold prize draws and auctions at events so donated gifts help keep fundraising costs low ensuring fundraised money goes directly to our front line services. In return we can publicly thank you or your business and promote your services where possible.
Please get in touch if you have a gift you would like to donate.
We are registered with The Fundraising Regulator and agree to abide by charity and fundraising laws and comply with fundraising standards.
This means we are open, honest and use your fundraised money exactly how we say we will. We even give you the choice of selecting a particular project you would like your money put towards if you want to.
Gift aiding your donation means it will be worth 25% more to us at no additional cost to you. Gift Aid is a scheme operated by HM Revenue and Customs allowing charities to claim the basic rate tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer.
Gift Aid is automatically claimed through our direct online giving form and through our Virgin Money Giving site. Other donations can be gift aided by completing a GIFT AID FORM. Please send completed forms to our YLF office.
