It was an honor to be nominated as a finalist in two categories at this years' Kent Charity Awards.
As a nominated finalist, it was a real pleasure for some of our team to attend the Kent Charity Awards this year, hosted at Rochester Cathedral.
YLF was nominated for the ‘Best Use of Volunteers‘ award, along with our very own volunteer, Karen, who is an Appropriate Adult, nominated for ‘Volunteer of the Year‘. And although we may not have been the winners of these awards, it was an absolute honor to be recognised for our dedication and hard work, especially throughout these past 12 months.
Neil, our Operations Manager, who attended the event with some of our coordinators and volunteers said:
“It was a great night. We’re a children’s charity that has been running for 14 years, providing services all over Kent – we can’t do anything without our volunteers. So, this was recognition of all the hard work they always put in but also the most challenging year of our existence with lockdown and Covid-19.”
A huge congratulations to overall Charity of The Year winner, Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex, and to all the category winners – a very deserving array of individuals and charities who do so much to make a tremendous difference across our County.
