Time 2 Shine | And They Did!

Friday was a time for young people in care to shine! 

Medway Council and the Young Lives Foundation turned Commissioner's House at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, into a carnival for the evening! There was a hall of mirrors, Irish dancing, a magician and a golden human statue to name a few of the spectacles on show. But it was the young people themselves who stole the show as everyone came together to celebrate their achievements.

Young people aged 5 to 20 were presented awards for personal development, achievements, resilience and overcoming challenges. The awards, presented by Councillor O'Brien and the Mayor of Medway, were given out to rapturous applause by those in the audience made up of carers, relatives, professionals and invited guests.
