Time To Shine 2022
It was an absolute honour to host the Time To Shine Awards in partnership with Medway Council.
In true Oscars-style at The Corn Exchange Rochester, YLF, our Medway Children and Young People Council (MCYPC) and Medway Council delivered a magical awards ceremony for Medway’s care-experienced young people! 2022 was the Time To Shine!
To celebrate the contribution and successes of young people, we presented 15 awards that recognised numerous skills, resilience and aspirations that these individuals have achieved. Awards included Small But Mighty Award, Young Volunteer Award and Job & Enterprise Award – plus many more – with each and every award being sponsored by a local business or organisation.
We received untold amounts of award nominations from Social Workers, Teachers and Foster Carers alike which is a real reflection on the number of deserving young people.
A positive, fun and rewarding community event, inspired by ideas from Medway’s young people themselves and delivered with huge success!
