Folkestone Fundraiser!

On Saturday 28th February, YLF were honoured to be the chosen charity for Damian Collins, MP, Community Walk!

Damian set off on a 20 mile walk in Shepway from Dungeness Lighthouse to Folkestone Short Step Arch. Despite the dull and gloomy, cold and wet day, Damian was joined by over 20 other walkers!

Although a bright sunny day to soak up the flavours of the seaside would have been perfect for this walk, the gang remained in high spirits determined to brave the elements in order to raise money that will support the young people of Shepway.

The walk raised a HUGE £2,330!

We are extremely thankful to Damian and to each and everyone who walked on the day - an amazing achievement by all! We are also thankful those businesses who welcomed all for a well earned rest along the way! Thank you!

We look forward to investing this money into the Mentoring Service we will provide to disadvantaged children and families in Shepway and will keep you up to date on our progress!
