"Can't quite believe we are through February already, and now the running season is well and truly upon us with events coming up thick and fast, all providing great training opportunities, with the flurry of marathons that commence in April and May.
This week, I ran 3 miles Monday, 5 on Wednesday, 3 on Saturday and completed a 20 mile long run on Sunday. I am running with a group of runners who are all taking part in London/other marathons, and it's clear now that our training is delivering results. It's been a week of personal best 5k times (I ran my 2nd fastest ever 5k on Saturday, from the 130 or so I've run over the last 2-3 years), and it was very pleasing to do the 20 mile long run without stopping once and also doing a good time - with 6 weeks to go to improve still further.
No injuries for me, and my recovery capacity is better than ever. I hope these are not famous-last-words!
