“32 miles of training fun last week, as we move ever nearer to the London Marathon on April 24th (just 49 giving days left, hint-hint).
Two of my training buddies have picked up injuries last week!!! I on the other hand am fine, so please stop worrying about me 😉
The more observant of you may have noticed I’ve lost the half stone I put on over Christmas, from the horror pics I’m posting each week, so this is helping me stay injury free!
I did a 10k PB this week, so all is still going well. Lots more paranoia this week from everyone about “not overdoing it”, reducing training distances, blah blah blah. You’ve got a few more weeks of me droning on about this before the big day.
I’m off to the Rome Half Marathon on Friday for the weekend, representing GB in the “over 40 but looks 30” category. Will be combining a very useful training event with some tourism, so I’m looking forward to running in Italian. 13,000 participants, so I’m hoping the winners podium will extend from the usual 1st/2nd/3rd, down to about 7,000th place.
Have a great week, running fans. And don’t forget to donate!” 🙂
