Christmas Giving Trees

Giving trees set to bring joy to hundreds of young people this Christmas!

Our trees...

Our YLF Christmas Giving Trees have been a heart-warming success in the past and thanks to the incredible support of local businesses and community organisations these beautifully decorated trees will be back!

For disadvantaged families, the Christmas season can be a financially challenging time and many may struggle to afford even the simplest of gifts, which can leave children feeling forgotten during what should be a magical season.

We are so grateful to the following partners who will host a Giving Tree, serving as a collection point for individuals to leave presents for young people that will brighten the festive period:

  • Bluewater’s Giving Tree, Bluewater Shopping Centre, Greenhithe DA9 9ST
  • Notcutts Maidstone, ME14 5LH
  • Hays Travel, Maidstone, Chequers Shopping Centre, Maidstone ME15 6AR
  • Oak on the Green, Maidstone ME14 4EJ
  • The Village Hotel, Maidstone, Forstal Rd ME14 3AQ
  • Tom Brown Wholesales(Amazon Wishlist)

  • Albany Funerals, Maidstone (no public access – client families only)

*** In addition – Lenny, our lion mascot, will be at Notcutts Maidstone for their late-night opening on 29th November from 5:00–7:00 pm! Be sure to pay a visit!

How it works...

  1. Visit the Christmas Giving Tree in a public venue listed above **
  2. Choose a tag to support a named child
  3. Place the tag with a gift of your choosing under the tree (new and unwrapped gifts only)
  4. The venue’s elves will bag up all the gifts ready for YLF to collect by 8th December
  5. The gifts arrive at the Grotto (YLF HQ!), are checked and wrapped by volunteers
  6. YLF arrange collection/delivery to families, ensuring the named young person has their gift in time for Christmas!

Our volunteer elves will be part of our Christmas Wrapping Week that will start on 8th December, therefore we ask that all gifts are given in by 8th December!

** Please check with each individual location for opening times and giving rules

A special reminder of last year...

Together we can ensure that a small act of kindness can allow children to wake up to a joyful Christmas morning. Each present represents hope and the reassurance that no one is alone, reminding them they are cherished and cared for by their community.
