Cathedral Choir Concert
The London Welsh Male Voice Choir performed a unique and stunning concert in aid of YLF!
On Saturday 14 May, over 200 people gathered at Rochester Cathedral to hear the wonderful voices of the London Welsh Male Voice Choir with solo performances by Tracey Boulton, Soprano, and Matthew Jones, Violinist.
YLF Chairman, Geoffrey Dearing and CEO, Stephen Gray, each delivered a short speech to recognise not only our thanks to those who could join us for such a unique experience, but also to highlight the importance of us all being there - to make a difference to the children supported by YLF, especially those in Rochester and the surrounding Medway area.
The huge applause received from the audience at the end of the evening certainly captured the feeling the choir gave our guests and many left the event with passing comments such as, "Absolutely magnificent, thank you for inviting me." and "The charity do some amazing work, we are pleased we could be here to support you."
YLF is incredibly grateful to all those who helped to organise the event, including our President, Clive Emson, Lesley Bennet and Hilary Steel from Institute of Directors, Kent Branch, Peter Boulton from The London Welsh Male Voice Choir, and Lynne Bax from Rochester Cathedral's Development Team.
So far, in donations given on the night, a HUGE £900 has been raised for YLF!
A very successful event that YLF was delighted to have hosted. Thank you to all who attended, sponsored and those who donated.
