Football Fever!
The June sun was blazing once again this year for the annual charity football match between Children in Care (CiC) and Medway Council’s social care workers!
VIPs Councillor Mike O'Brien and Councillor David Royle attended the match alongside a huge supportive crowd of foster carers and Medway Council Staff who were refreshed throughout the game with our stall selling favourites such as strawberries and cream!!
Phil Watson, Assistant Director of Medway Children's Services, who played for the social care team on the day said, "It was a really fun evening, and my staff and I really do value these times to connect with our children and young people. Long may this arrangement continue."
There was some fantastic footwork from both teams and a total of 9 goals scored!...
...But who scored the most??
