YLF’s Eggcellent Easter

At YLF, Easter was certainly a time of giving and spreading smiles!

On 1st March we launched our second 'Eggcellent Easter' campaign, asking members of the public once again to donate eggs to our disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people. Following our grand total of over 100 Easter Eggs collected last year, we decided to set our target at 500, so that we could deliver them out to young people across the county, who wouldn't receive one otherwise.

Thanks to all the support we received on our Easter Campaign location days, from businesses, schools, and individuals alike, we are very proud to say that we exceeded this target and received a HUGE 1734 eggs this Easter!🐣🤩

YLF then took on the role of the Easter Bunny over the Easter weekend, delivering eggs to foster homes, children’s centres, hospices, hospitals, care leavers and asylum seeking children and young people across Kent so that this Easter would be 'Eggcellent' for them!🐣🐰 Check out our Facebook page for more photos!

Harry, a young person said: “I did not know what an Easter egg was but now I know that they are sweet! This is the first Easter egg I have ever received and it has been the best gift ever.”

We are overwhelmed by this support and want to thank all those who helped to support this campaign. Foster parent, Anna said, "He could not believe his eyes when he saw the egg sitting on the table....even more so when he realised it was for him. It feels like Christmas. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
