"Update for the blog with a pic from Saturday's Parkrun ... (the photographers always catch you by surprise so most of the pics are highly unflattering with no time to pose!) :-)
Today starts week 4 of the 17 week training programme. I racked up 26 miles last week so am ahead of the schedule and am enjoying it, even though it was freezing cold!
Wednesday was 4 miles, Friday 6 miles, Saturday 3 miles, and Sunday 13 miles, so what's pleasing is that I'm running good distances on consecutive days and not feeling the need for rest days, though I need to try to spread the runs out more - work depending!
We have formed 'The Bacon Butty Running Club' for our long Sunday runs - motto "Run. Stop. Eat Bacon." ..We have already attracted some new recruits, and I swapped messages with Dame Kelly Holmes last night and am hopeful she may join us one Sunday!!
All good so far, 6 miles tonight, then plan a Thursday run, and then have a trail 10k race scheduled for Saturday so it will be another busy week!!"
