A busy Summer of Fundraising at YLF….

Well summer has proved to be a very busy but enjoyable time for us here at YLF! Below are some of the highlights from last  month...IMG_1729

Kent County Show | it was great to be invited to come along again this year.  We are grateful to all who visited us and to staff who gave up their time, on what was one of the hottest days, to man the stall and played their part in helping to raise over £450!

Kings Hill Live Music Festival | The Spitfire Pub, Kings Hill, who have chosen us as their Charity of the Year, asked us to come along to the event.  The day was a sell out and attended by hundreds of people.  It was a great day and a brilliant opportunity to speak about YLF and we raised £111! Thank you to Kay, a YLF volunteer, and Jenny, our Accounts Manager, for coming along to help!

Rye Golf Club | a day of golf was played at the prestigious Rye Golf Club on a beautiful sunny day in July.  Good coIMG_1769nversations were had and good food was enjoyed by many golfers, followed by an auction during the afternoon. Thank you to all who entered a team and helped us raise over £14,000!  FullSizeRender

Wrotham Heath Golf Day | another day of golf was enjoyed in a beautiful setting and we are grateful to Wrotham Heath for holding a charity golf day in aid of YLF.  We will keep you updated on the amount raised but would like to thank everyone who entered a team.

We also attended the Kent County Cricket Charity Day and the KCC Community Safety Day at Mote Park.

Music on the Green | YLF was chosen to be one of the beneficiaries from this event, alongside Demelza Hospice.  This was a great event and again, another sell out, with well over 4,000 tickets being sold.  Over 35 YLF representatives made up of our charity Ambassador, staff, Trustees and volunteers became stewards, stall hosts, Princesses and even Spiderman on the day!  It was a very busy but enjoyable day.  A MASSIVE  thank you to all who volunteered and represented YLF.  Our stall had over 1,400 visitors and cash taken on the day came to just under £1,500 - with more to come!
